Who’s ready for some no bake cookies??? ME!! ME!! I AM!!! These cookies are SO easy to make that I ran a test run while babysitting my niece and nephew and made THEM do all the dirty work! The kids loved decorating these adorable cookies all by themselves. Ellie and her brother Nathan are two of my very best helpers in the kitchen. Ellie wanted to save them for her party (which was two weeks later! She’s so sweet!) but Aunt Lisa wanted to make sure they were fresh and fancy them up a little bit. You know, put that Aunt Lisa special touch on it!
Here’s all you’ll need: Nutter Butter Sandwich Cookies, Wilton Candy Melts, red hots or red sixlets, and sprinkles.
Place candy melts into a microwave safe mug. Melt and stir in 30 second intervals until completely melted.
Dip cookie into the candy melts about half way. Now watch me dip!! Now watch me nay nay!
Shake off excess candy coating. Sh-sh-shake it off! Shake it off!!
Place cookie on a sheet of parchment or wax paper. Immediately add your sixlet (or red hot) for your cherry! Then add the sprinkles before the candy melts have a chance to harden. (sorry I don’t have a cheesy song lyric to add here!)
Here’s my Aunt Lisa special touch! This part is totally optional but I totally love it. Place a small amount of candy melts in a ziploc bag. Microwave for 30 second or until melted. Cut a small hole in one of the corners of the bag. Then add a little zigzag or swirly line along the bottom of the candy coating.
It makes it look even more like a cute little scoop of ice cream on top of a cone! LOVE!!!
Repeat with all the cookies, allow candy coating to harden and you’re done! We used white, pink, and brown candy melts to represent vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream. I added some white candy melts mixed in with the brown to lighten it up a little bit.
Doesn’t that cookie tray look so fun?!? I’m partial to the vanilla! Which ones are your favorite???
